Random Acts Of Reval #RAOR #3 Traffic Controller Bringing Positivity on Warrigal Rd Runcorn
Yesterday, our Reval Estate Agents managing director, Adam Scott, took a heartwarming video about a female traffic controller spreading happiness and positivity to drivers going through a roadwork zone in Warrigal Road, Runcorn.
This bit of “sparkle” was brought by a woman named Charmain who works up to 10 hours a day in Brisbane’s southside.
With her happy smiles and waves bringing joy to the lives of motorists passing through Runcorn and Eight Mile Plains each morning, Adam took the liberty to give thanks, on behalf of him, Reval Estate Agents, and every motorist who goes by, to this “legend” of a woman by giving her chocolates and flowers while streaming the encounter to our Facebook page.
The video is now trending and several people from the Southside have commented about the “positivity” Charmain is bringing into their lives.
Renee Zackeresen wrote“She is the bomb”. She said she wound down the window and yelled out good morning to her.
Sian Mullins wrote “This is amazing Adam. What a beautiful lady, and an equally beautiful gesture.”
Tee Kay said she “honked at her the other day” and was thinking about giving her flowers and chocolate too, but Adam beat her to it.
Adam said that Charmain has been there day in, day out for the past few weeks and it makes his day.
“She is always smiling. She just made me super happy with her smiling and waving and I thought I should do something nice for her.”
“She is lovely and fully deserved it. There is so much negativity out there in the world, which is why it’s so good to see someone out there being nice to perfect strangers.”
Charmain told Adam that she feels amazing whenever people smile and wave back at her. She also said that she often receives little thank you notes saying “there should be more people like you” from some drivers, but she had actually never received flowers and chocolates before.
“This is amazing” she said in the video.
“I’ve got a lot of spare time while I’m standing there and everybody’s driving through and nobody likes road works.”
“Everybody hates road works, so I can be a little bright spark as they go through and say thank you to everybody for their patience and kindness.”
“It is fantastic. You should see their faces light up.”
“I do it for a minimum of 10 hours a day.”
“Every single person gets an individual wave and smile and I look at each person in the eye, so they know I see them.”
This lady is totally awesome! On behalf of Reval Estate Agents, we would like to say thank you Charmain for bringing joy into our lives! #RAOR
